Kansas Nebraska Act, Wilmot Proviso: Prohibited slavery in territory from Mexico, CIVIL WAR, Reconstruction: 13th Amendment abolishes slavery, New South: Black Codes. Homesteading starts.
Period 6 (1865-1898)
