Social Mobility
The ability to move between different social classes.
Poverty Traps

Intergenerational Poverty
Poverty that is passed down from one generation to another, making it hard to escape.

The idea that disability is shaped by societal attitudes, norms, and the built environment.
Five Faces of Oppression
A framework identifying five forms through which oppression manifests: Powerlessness, Exploitation, Marginalization, Cultural Imperialism, and Violence.
Marginalization
The process by which certain individuals or groups are pushed to the periphery of society, limiting their access to resources and opportunities.
Violence as Oppression
The physical or psychological harm inflicted on marginalized groups, reinforcing their oppression.
Cultural Imperialism
The universalization of a dominant culture, at the expense of subordinated cultures.
