What is the Environment?

Deals with air, water, soil and living beings, their characteristics, and interrelationships. It also includes social and cultural factors as they impact on the environment.

What is Environmental Science?

Applying the theories on designing solutions to environmental problems through engineering. Develops the means to protect the environment and ensure environmental quality and sustainability.

What are the Key Environmental Components?

A measure of the condition of the environment and its impact on humans and other organisms; a quality of the environment that is conducive for healthy living.

What is Environmental Quality?

Allowable levels of pollution for air, water, soil, and noise; guided by International, European, Asian, and Philippine Standards.

What are Environmental Quality Standards?

To determine if critical parameters are still within the standards for healthy living for organisms. To come up with solutions in case acceptable levels of environmental quality are exceeded; to be cautious, aware, and preventive.
