due to belief in community, cooperation is preferable to competition. Cooperation strengthens the bonds of community while competition pits individuals against each other.

One nation Conservatism
a paternalistic form of conservatism prominent in the 1950s and 1960s. Its ideas can be traced back to Benjamin Disraeli who warned of the dangers of dangers of Britain being divided into the ‘two nations’ of the rich and the poor. Believed the rich have an obligation to the poor.
Conservatism
an ideology traditionally suspicious of abstract principles or developed theories, preferring instead to place its faith in tradition. Believing that humans are imperfect and hierarchy is natural to society.
