interlocutor
The in-between speaker in a dialogue; e.g., Meletus in Apology.
Socratic Method
A method of questioning and dialogue used by Socrates to examine beliefs.
intersectionality
The idea that overlapping social identities (race, gender, class) influence experiences of oppression and privilege.
gadfly
Socrates as the gadfly to Athens: a stirring, annoying challenger to the polis.
Crito
Dialogue about whether Socrates should escape prison and the relationship to law.
Meletus
The accuser in the Apology (one of the prosecutors).
