null hypothesis, chi-square test, descriptive statistics.

null hypothesis

states that there is no statistically significant difference between two groups in an experiment.

chi-square test

a statistical test that is used to compare the observed results to the expected results in the experiment.

degrees of freedom (df)

the number of possible outcomes in the experiment minus 1.

p-value

the probability that the observed data would be produced by random chance alone.

standard deviation

averages how far each data point is from the mean of the data set.

standard error of the mean (SEx)

another measure of how spread out a data set is.
