Apostolic Succession

Church
The community of believers; the assembly of all who believe in Jesus Christ.
Son of Man
Daniel’s prophecy referring to a powerful and eternal king who brings salvation; title used for Jesus in Mark’s Gospel.
Suffering Servant
An innocent man who suffers to save others, prophesying Jesus’ passion and death for humanity's sins.
Red Martyr
A Christian who is killed for their faith.
White Martyr
A martyrdom without death, enduring violent hatred for their faith.

The appointed time for Jesus' passion and death.
Theophany
A visible manifestation of God to humanity.
The Transfiguration
The event where Jesus reveals his divine glory, aiming to strengthen the apostles’ faith in anticipation of his Passion.

Hebrew word meaning 'O Lord grant salvation'.
Parousia
Greek term for the 'Second Coming'.
Eschatology
The part of theology concerned with the end times.
