Decalogue

means "ten words," it describes the Ten Commandments given by God to Moses.

New Adam

A name given to Jesus for making amends for the disobedience of the first Adam.

New Covenant

The covenant established by God in Jesus Christ to Fulfill and perfect the Old Covenant.

Original Sin

Adam and Eve disobedience.

Pelagianism

The heretical belief that people, because of their natural powers of free will, can lead morally good lives without God's help.

Satan

Typology

a method of biblical interpretation in of persons, events, places, or things in the Old Testament.

Catechesis

The education of children, adolescents, and adults in the faith of the Church by teaching of Christian doctrine.

Dogma

A revealed teaching or set of revealed teachings of Christ proclaimed by the fullest extent of the exercise of the authority of the Church's magisterium.

Epiphany

The manifestation to the world of the newborn Christ as Messiah, Son of God, and Savior of the world.

Immaculate Conception

Mary was from birth, preserved immune from original sin.

Justification

God's gracious action of freeing a person from sin through faith in Jesus Christ and Baptism.

Magnificat

The Blessed Virgin Mary's song of praise to the lord.
