Educational Psychologist

They are interested in the psychological processes involved in learning. They study the relationship between learning and physical and social environments, and develop strategies for enhancing the learning process

Experimental Psychologist

They are a diverse group of scientists who investigate a variety of basic behavioral processes in humans and other animals. Areas of their research include science, motivation, learning, thought, attention, memory, perception, and language

Psychometric and Quantitative Psychologist

They study the methods and techniques used to acquire psychological knowledge.

Social Psychologist

They are interested in our interactions with others. They study how our beliefs, feelings, and behaviors are affected by and influence other people.

Forensic Psychologist

They apply psychological principals to legal issues. They conduct research on the interface of law and psychology.

Health Psychologist

they are researched and practitioners concerned with psychology’s contribution to promoting health and preventing disease. They help people live healthier lives by designing, conducting, and evaluating programs.

Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychologist

They study the relationship between people and their working environments. They can develop new ways to increase productivity, improve personnel selection, or promote job satisfaction. Business

Rehabilitation Psychologist

They are researchers and practitioners who work with people who have lost optimal functioning after an accident, illness, or other event.

School Psychologist

They are involved in the assessment of and intervention for children in educational setting. They diagnose and treat cognitive, social, and emotional problems that could negatively influence children’s learning or function.

Sport Psychologist

they study the psychological factors that influence, and are influenced by, participation in sports and other physical activities. They do coach education and athlete preparation, as well as research and teaching.

Clinical Psychologist

They promote psychological health in individual groups, and organizations. They could specialize in psychological disorders, adjustment difficulties, and severe psychopathology. They could do research or teaching

Community Psychologist

They move beyond focusing on specific individuals or families and deal with broad problems of mental health in community settings. They could work in public health, federal, state, and local departments, and serve as an independent consultant.

Counseling Psychologist

They help people adjust to life transitions or make lifestyle changes. They help people with adjusting problems.
