Stage 1
Traditional Society - Where the country is based on the primary industry like fishing, agriculture and forestry. Involves very little trade.
Stage 2
Preconditions to take off - Manufacturing starts to develop and infrastructure is built. Like roads, power networks. International trading begins.
Stage 3
Take off - Rapid growth. Large scale industrialization with increasing wealth.
Stage 4
Drive to maturity - The people get a bit wealthier. Living standards rise as does the use of technology.
Stage 5
Mass Consumption - Lots of trade with high production. There is now a disposable income for society.
