• can lead to changes in personality, impulsivity, aggression

• difficulty with emotional regulation, problems with speech

What is the function of the parietal lobe ?

at the front of the parietal lobe is the somatosensory area 

What happens if the parietal lobe is damaged ?

• numbness or a diminished sense of touch on the opposite side of the body 

• difficulty with hand-eye coordination and judging distances, reading issues

What is the function of the temporal lobe ?

the temporal lobe includes the auditory area and Wernicke’s area 

What happens if the temporal lobe is damaged ?

• partial hearing loss, difficulty processing sounds 

• auditory hallucinations, inability to understand language 

What is the function of the occipital lobe ?

the occipital lobe includes the visual area

• blindness, inability to recognise objects

• inability to identify colours, visual illusions and hallucinations
