The cost of each exam is $97 per exam for most students. However, there are a few exceptions. Students who take the exams outside of the United States, Canada, and DoDEA schools will pay $128 per exam. Students who take AP Capstone exams (AP Seminar and AP Research) will pay $146 per exam.

There are also a few ways to reduce the cost. Students who qualify for financial aid may be eligible for a fee waiver. Students can also check with their state or school district to see if additional funding sources are available to help cover the cost of AP exams.
