3
What is your first paragraph and what is in it?
Thesis
• no longer than 2 sentences
• contains 3 original reason that answers the prompt
• the reason for topic from prompt are ‘og and specific reasons that answers the prompt (x2)
What is paragraph 2 and what is in it?
Evidence
Linking 2 of the 3 reasons in your thesis by either causation (maybe they share a common cause or one caused the other), corroboration (one fact
supports or proves the other fact), or chronology (time period)
Reread your essay periodically.
Does your essay prove your argument? What was left unsaid?
Did you fully explain your facts?
Did you write complete thoughts?
Write more or add it to the conclusion if you must.
• This can be anywhere in this paragraph or the conclusion.
This might require more than one sentence because you need to explain it.
DO NOT just restate your thesis here. The thesis is the ultimate linking. The AICE examiner is looking to see if you understand how reasons are interconnected beyond the thesis.
Ex. Point/factor/reason/cause from thesis and point/factor/reason/cause from thesis are connected due to explain what they have in common or how one factor supports the other etc/ fact that connects to both. This is due to more elaboration if needed.

Add 2 new facts to prove that this is the most significant.
Remember to explain your facts and connect them to the topic whenever possible.
