Establish set times when critical tasks will occur.
Round on clients regularly to ensure their care needs and questions are met before performing a critical task and delegate non-critical nursing tasks to assistive personnel.
Do not use personal phones in client care areas.
Educate staff that critical tasks should only be interrupted for a significant client safety concern.
