Prime Number
A number whose value is nearest to 33 (in this context, 31).
Cube Root
A value that, when multiplied by itself three times, equals a given number (e.g., the cube root of 343 is 7).
Factors
Numbers that divide evenly into another number (e.g., factors of 45 are 1, 3, 5, 9, 15, and 45).
Common Factor
A number that divides evenly into two or more other numbers (e.g., a common factor of 42 and 45 is 3).
Product of Powers of Prime Factors
Expressing a number as a product of its prime factors raised to certain powers (e.g., 224 = 2^5 * 7).
Common Multiple
A number that is a multiple of two or more numbers.
Cube
The result of multiplying a number by itself three times (e.g., the cube of 4 is 64).
Power
An expression that represents repeated multiplication of a base number (e.g., 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 as a single power of 3 is 3^5).
Highest Common Factor (HCF)
The largest number that divides evenly into two or more numbers (e.g., the HCF of 140 and 245 is 35).
Multiple
A number that is the product of a given number and any other integer.
Square Number
The product of a number multiplied by itself.
Cube Number
The product of a number multiplied by itself three times.
Prime Number
A whole number greater than 1 that has only two divisors: 1 and itself.
Significant Figures
The digits in a number that carry meaning contributing to its precision.
