Saying the oppsite of what you mean (Ex; What lovely weather" during a storm)

Outcome is the opposite of what you expect (Ex; a fire station burning down)
dramatic irony
Reader knows something the character does not (Ex: a character walking into an obvious trap that the audience sees)
