Observational Learning

A type of behavior modification where an observer watches someone perform a behavior and is later able to reproduce it closely, though the observer was unable to do this before observing the model

Cognitive Map

a mental picture of spatial relationships or relationships between events

Latent Learning

alteration of a behavioral tendency that is not demonstrated by an immediate, observable change in behavior

Learned Helplessness

condition in which repeated attempts to control a situation fail, resulting in the belief that the situation in uncontrollable

Disinhibition

an observer watches someone else engage in a threatening activity without being punished, the observer may find it easier to engage in that behavior later
