What are the seven precepts to live a moral life?

  1. Go to Mass every Sunday and on holy days of obligation 

  2.  Lead a sacramental life which includes receiving Eucharist frequently (minimally once a year between the first Sunday of Lent and Trinity Sunday) and Reconciliation regularly (minimally once a year) 

  3. Study Catholic teaching in preparation for Confirmation, be confirmed, and then continue to advance the teachings of Christ 

  4.  Observe the marriage laws of the Church, provide religious training and examples to one’s children, utilize Catholic schools or parish school programs 

  5. To strengthen and support the Church in one’s community and the world 

  6.  To do penance, which includes abstaining from meat and fasting from food on appointed days

  7.  To join the missionary spirit and work of the Church
