abrasive
An abrasive substance is rough and can be used to clean a surface to make it smooth.
acclaim
To praise or welcome somebody/something publicly.
adroit
Skilful, clever and showing skill.
alleviate
To ease or make something less severe.
approximate
Almost correct or accurate, but not completely so.
atypical
Not typical or usual; anomalous.
buoyancy
The ability of something to float or the feeling of being cheerful and confident.
cerebral
Relating to the brain or mind rather than the feelings.
circumscribe
To restrict or limit somebody/something's freedom, rights, power, etc.
communal
Shared by or for the use of a number of people, especially those who live together.
complementary
They are different but together form a useful or attractive combination.
compromise
An agreement made between two people or groups where each side gives up something.
conceptualize
To form an idea of something in your mind.
confound
To baffle, confuse, and surprise somebody; to prove somebody/something wrong.
conscientious
Taking care to do things carefully and correctly.
corrosive
Tending to destroy or damage something slowly by chemical action.
credulity
The ability or wish to believe that something is real or true.
debilitate
To make somebody's body or mind weaker.
denounce
To strongly criticize somebody/something that you think is wrong or illegal.
