Present Continuous Tense
Formed by the Present Indefinite of the auxiliary verb 'to be' and Participle 1 of the notional verb.
Uses of Present Continuous (1)
An action going on at the present moment or at the present period of time.
Note on Present Continuous Use
To denote actions going on at the present moment when the fact is important and not the process, use the Present Indefinite.
Present Continuous Usage (State/Quality)
Denotes a certain state or quality peculiar to a person at a given moment.
Present Continuous Usage (Future Arrangement)
An action that will take place in the near future due to a previous arrangement.
Present Continuous Usage (Characterizing Action)
An action generally characterizing the person denoted by the subject (with adverbs like 'always,' 'ever,' 'constantly'). Emotionally colored.
Present Continuous Usage (временное)
Temporary situations.
