Myocardial Infarction
Aka heart attack
Occurs when blood flow to the heart tissue is obstructed due to the buildup of plaque in arterial walls. Since Oxygenated Blood can't reach the heart muscle, it ends up dying or is damaged.
Causing the heart to become weakened.
Mitral Valve Prolapse
This is when the Mitral Valve ends up bulging inwards, not closing properly, causing blood to leak back into the Atrium.
Coronary Artery Disease
Develops as atherosclerotic Plaques accumulate on the interior of coronary arteries.
The arteries become increasingly blocked,
compromising the flow of oxygen-rich blood to heart tissue.
What are the symptoms of Congestive Heart Failure?
Rapid heart rate, fluid in the lungs, a thickening heart wall, and swelling of the lower limbs.
What is the cause of Peripheral Vascular Disease?
The arterial walls in the lower limb harden due to a buildup of plaque. This narrowing of arteries leads to decreased blood flow, injuring nerves and tissues.
