Includes gas laws definitions and some stuff regarding electrons since that's all I mess up :)
Quantum numbers
Energy levels
Sub-shells
Orbitals
Spin
Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle
We can’t know the location and spin of an electron at the same time.
Pauli Exclusion Principle
No two electrons can have the same 4 quantum numbers. Electrons in the same orbital will have different spins.
Hund’s Rule
degenerate orbitals will fill singly before pairing to maximize the number of parallel spins and minimize repulsion.
Aufbau Principle
Electrons occupy orbitals in order of increasing energy.
4s subshell is filled AND EMPTIED after 3p and before 3d.
Exceptions are Cu and Cr, as they only have 4s1 and not 4s2.
Boyle’s Law
P1V1 = P2P2 at constant T
Charles’ Law
V1/T1 = V2/T2 at constant P
Ideal gas V = 0 at 0 K
Gay-Lussac’s Law
P1/T1 = P2/T2 at constant V
0 P at 0 K assuming that gas remains gas
