Conserving Momentum
The total momentum of a system before and after an interaction remains constant.
Conserving Angular Momentum
If a system is isolated, then the angular momentum of the system remains constant, Li = Lf.
Impulse-Momentum Theorem
The change in momentum of a system is equal to the net external impulse acting on it.
Elastic Collision
A collision in which the total kinetic energy is conserved.
Inelastic Collision
A collision in which the total kinetic energy is not conserved.
