Neurons

Specialized cells in the nervous system that transmit information through electrical and chemical signals.

Gene expression

The process by which information from a gene is used to create a functional gene product, such as a protein.

Mutation

An enzyme involved in the metabolism of fats in the body.

The process by which fats are broken down and converted into energy or stored for later use.

Build up

The accumulation or increase in the amount of a substance, in this case, fats, in a particular area or organ, such as the brain.
