Amendment 1

• freedom of religion

• freedom of speech, writing gathering, and asking government to fix wrongs

Amendment 2

right to own and carry weapons

Amendment 3

soldiers cannot stay at your home without permission and only in certain ways during war

Amendment 4

• safe from unreasonable search and seizures

• police need warrant to search you or property

Amendment 5

cannot be charged of serious crime without grand jury, unless you’re in military during war

Amendment 6

if accused of crime - right to fair, public trial by jury

Amendment 7

• must be told what crime your accused of, confront witness, and lawyer

• cannot be tried for same crime twice, forced to testify against yourself or lose rights to property without fair process

speedy and public trial

Amendment 8

no excessive bail or fines can be set, and cruel or unusual punishments can’t be given

Amendment 9

just because constitution doesn’t list some rights, doesn’t mean people don’t have them

Amendment 10

any powers not given to government by constitution is given to people
