The liquid that forms in the atmosphere and falls back down

An imaginary line that falls in the middle of the earth dividing it into 2 hemispheres

A large area of the earth is home to similar plant and animal communities.

What are the two biome types

Terrestrial (those found on earth) and aquatic (those found in water)

Describe a tropical biome

Close to the equator which means hot, rich in flora, very wet conditions and lots of animals like tigers, gorillas and colourful birds.

Describe a tundra biome

Dry and barren land, not a lot of biodiversity. Animals include polar bears, hares and reindeer.

Describe a temperate biome

Goes through the 4 seasons and not too cold or too hot, lots of trees and plant life. Animals include wolves, owls and foxes

Describe a marine biome

Including sea, oceans and coral reefs. Coral reefs can be found in warmer bodies of water. Animals include many species of fish, turtles and amphibians.

Freezing temperatures are located at the bottom and top of the earth. Animals include polar bears, penguins and seals.

Describe a boreal biome

Rich in plant life and animals. Very cold long winters and short warm summers. Animals include wolves, bears and lots of insects.

Little plant life, dry and hot. Animals include coyotes, snakes, scorpions and tortoises.
