What does a lower buffer size mean?
There will be less latency when your computer processes the input and output signals.
When recording, what should your buffer size be set at?
The lowest buffer size that your computer can handle (256).
This is a good compromise between performance and latency.
This will stop there from being any noticeable delay when recording audio or using your MIDI keyboard.
When not recording, what should your buffer size be set at?
You should set your buffer size to 1024.
This will allow for a much better performance and your computer will be able to process much more information without crashing.
