What is buffer size?

The amount of time allowed for your computer to process the audio of your audio interface.

What are the options for buffer size?

• 32

• 64

• 128

• 256

• 512

• 1024

What does a lower buffer size mean?

There will be less latency when your computer processes the input and output signals.

When recording, what should your buffer size be set at?

• The lowest buffer size that your computer can handle (256).

• This is a good compromise between performance and latency.

• This will stop there from being any noticeable delay when recording audio or using your MIDI keyboard.

When not recording, what should your buffer size be set at?

• You should set your buffer size to 1024.

• This will allow for a much better performance and your computer will be able to process much more information without crashing.
