as a child grows and starts making their own decisions, they learn to think critically and question when making those decisions

higher levels of education can be associated with more political engagement, leading to individuals pulling more reasoning behind their political choices and how strongly the feel towards them

knowledge of political systems leads to more political involvement. it teaches citizens and expands their interest in public affairs
