Interactions: alcohol, anticoags, benzos, carbapenems, cyclosporine

A/E: Hepatotoxicity, peripheral neuropathy (take with B6 to avoid)

Rifampin - Rifapentine - Rifabutin

For active Tb

C/I Monitor LFTs CYP450 Inducer Do not take if lactating

Interacts with oral contraceptives warfarin and protease inhibitors.

A/E": Hepatotoxicity Discolored body fluids

Pyrazinamide

Used w/ other anti-tb

A/E: Hepatotoxicity watch LFTs every 2-4 weeks, non-gouty polyarthralgias, GI Intolerance

Ethambutol

Used if res to INH and Rifampin

C/I: Do not give to children under 8 years

A/E: Optic neuritis- blurred vision, constriction of visual fields. red-green color blindness
