What is the Talar Tilt Test?
A test used to examine the Anterior Talofibular Ligament (ATF) and the Calcaneofibular (CF) ligament by slightly plantarflexing the foot and inverting it.
What is the Anterior Draw Test?
A test for ankle instability and or hypermobility by stabilising the tibia and fibula with one hand and anteriorly drawing the calcaneus.
What is the Thompson Test?
To test the integrity of the achilies tendon by squeezing the calf muscle and observing for plantarflexion of the foot.
What is Plantar Fasciopathy Palpation?
The palpation of the plantar fascia at its insertion around the calcaneus.
What is the Windlass Test?
To help test for plantar fasciitis by flexing the big toe and watching for any passive dorsiflexion of the little toes.
What is the Metatarsal Squeeze Test?
A test used to check for Morton’s Neuroma by squeezing the lateral and medial of the foot to see if any pain is caused.
What is the Syndesmosis Squeeze Test?
To help test for ankle sprains by squeezing the tibia and fibula together to see if there is any pain.
What is the Dorsiflexion External Rotation Stress Test?
To help test for ankle sprains by externally rotating the foot whilst the leg is stabilised.
