BAKERY
A shop or place where bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, and other baked goods are made and sold.
Example sentence:
"I stopped by the bakery this morning to buy fresh croissants for breakfast."

BUTCHER’S.
A shop where meat is sold, and sometimes prepared or cut. The person who works there is called a butcher.
Example sentence:
"My dad goes to the butcher’s every Saturday to buy chicken and beef for the week."

BANK
A business or place where people can keep, borrow, or exchange money. You can also use a bank to save money in an account.
Example sentence:
"She went to the bank to deposit her paycheck and withdraw some cash."

BOOKSHOP.
A store that sells books. It is sometimes also called a bookstore.
Example sentence:
"We spent an hour browsing in the bookshop, looking for a good novel to read."

SHOE SHOP
A store that sells shoes for men, women, and children.
Example sentence:
"I found the perfect pair of running shoes at the shoe shop on Main Street."

POST OFFICE
A place where you can send and receive letters and packages, buy stamps, and sometimes handle other mail services.
Example sentence:
"He went to the post office to mail a birthday present to his friend."

CHEMIST’S.
A shop where you can buy medicines, health products, toiletries, and sometimes receive basic health advice. (In some countries, like the US, this is usually called a pharmacy or drugstore.)
Example sentence:
"I stopped at the chemist’s to pick up my prescription and some toothpaste."

CLOTHES SHOP
A store where you can buy clothing items such as shirts, trousers, dresses, jackets, and accessories.
Example sentence:
"She went to the clothes shop to find a new dress for the party."

DEPARMENT STORE
A large shop that sells many different types of products, usually organized into separate sections or “departments” (like clothing, furniture, electronics, cosmetics, etc.) all under one roof.
Example sentence:
"We did all our holiday shopping at the department store, buying gifts, decorations, and even some new towels.

ELECTRICAL GOODS SHOP
A store that sells items that use electricity, such as computers, TVs, kitchen appliances, lamps, and phones.
Example sentence:
"He went to the electrical goods shop to buy a new toaster because his old one stopped working."

GREENGROCER’S
A shop or market stall that mainly sells fresh fruits and vegetables.
Example sentence in general:
"I stopped at the greengrocer's to buy apples, carrots, and lettuce for dinner."

JEWELLER’S
A shop where jewellery (such as rings, necklaces, earrings and watches) is made, sold, or repaired. Jewellery is usually made from precious metals and can include gems, diamonds, and pearls.
Example sentence in general:
“She visited the jeweller’s to have her grandmother’s necklace repaired.”

NEWSAGENT’S
A shop that mainly sells newspapers, magazines, sometimes snacks, drinks, tobacco, and lottery tickets. It is often a small local store, sometimes called a "newsstand" if it's a street kiosk.
Example sentence in general:
“He stops at the newsagent’s every morning to buy the daily newspaper and a coffee.”

SPORTS SHOP
A store that sells equipment, clothing, and footwear for different sports and physical activities.
Example sentence in general:
“He went to the sports shop to buy a new pair of running shoes and a basketball.

STATIONERY SHOP.
A store that sells materials for writing, drawing, and office work, such as pens, paper, notebooks, envelopes, and sometimes cards and gifts.
Example sentence in general:
“I went to the stationery shop to buy some colored pencils and a new diary.”

SUPERMARKET
A large store that sells a wide variety of food, drinks, household items, and other everyday goods, usually arranged in aisles. It’s bigger than a corner shop and you often push a cart or carry a basket to collect what you need.
Example sentence in general:
“We do our weekly grocery shopping at the supermarket to buy everything from milk and bread to cleaning supplies.”
