• Boys crash landed on island

• Ralph elected as leader of the island 

• They decide that the conch holds authority 

• Jack leads choir boys (future hunters)

• They realize no adults 

Chapter 2: Fire on the mountain

• Ralph explains there needs to be rules 

• Signal fire lit 

• Boy with birth mark disappears

• Fear of the beast begins 

Chapter 3: Huts on the beach

• Jack obsessed with hunting 

• Ralph is frustrated huts Aren’t finished 

• Jack fails to kill a pig

Chapter 4: Painted faces and long hair
