The laity are Catholics that make up the church community as marries people or single people.
They live in the world by consecrating their daily actives to God.
Married people procreate, raise, and educate children. Single people use their state of life, weather chosen or not, to pursue their universal call to holiness. They spread the gospel int the secular world where the laity cannot .
