Pressure Pretend
A coping strategy for feeling overwhelmed: roll up in a blanket, say 'I'm a cozy burrito!', and add pillows on your legs to create a wrapped, comforting feeling.
Stomp Stomp Boom
A frustration outlet: stomp feet several times, clap hard, and shout 'BOOM!' to vent energy.
Kindness Cocoon
A self-soothing practice when feeling guilty or shy: hug yourself, whisper kind words like 'I'm learning. I'm kind,' and imagine wrap-your-wings comfort.
Color Hunt
A grounding game: find a red thing, a blue thing, and a yellow thing, then point to and name each one.
Secret Whisper
A private self-soothing moment for embarrassment: cup hands over the mouth, whisper a secret to yourself, and say 'Shhh!'.
Volcano Breath
A breathing exercise for exploding feelings: place hands on the belly, inhale for 4 seconds, then exhale with a roar.
Animal Shakes
A movement activity for scared or wiggly feelings: shake like a wet dog, jump like a frog, then freeze like a deer.
Magic Freeze
A quick freeze technique for rushing or wild feelings: whisper 'Freeze!', turn into a statue, and count to five.
Bubble Breath
A calming breathing exercise: pretend to blow bubbles, then take slow, deep breaths to steady sadness or shakiness.
Muscle Melt
A tension-release sequence: squeeze fists tightly, freeze, then shake loose like jelly to relax tense muscles.
Silent Scream
A bonus skill to vent fear or anger quietly: open your mouth wide but keep it silent; use the moment to imagine a powerful silent roar.
Hand Squeeze
A secret hand cue for needing help: squeeze your hand three times to signal you need support.
Volume Knob
A self-regulation cue: pretend to turn an ear knob or volume control and whisper or lower your voice when things feel too loud.
