* they have military protection, trace/commerce opportunities, and political stability
* They payed littles $
* Salutary neglect
* No heavy lifting

As long as colonies make $$ for GB there is no issues

Colonist & GB relationship pre-war

* colonist are farmers not soldiers (need protection)
* Trade is handled/controlled by mother country (colonists are succeeding why change it)
* Stability and no heavy lifting

GB leaders thoughts post-war

* tax colonist to pay for debts caused by war
* Colonists are being ungrateful for all the protection and $$ they are given
* GB should govern them bc the are so disorganized
