Scientific Revolution
A period of questioning and reasoning that led scientists to question traditional beliefs about the universe.
Scientific Method
A method of inquiry involving observation, questioning, hypothesis formation, prediction, testing, and conclusion.
Nicolaus Copernicus
Polish astronomer who proposed the heliocentric model of the solar system.
Geocentric Model
An earth-centered model of the solar system.
Heliocentric Model
A sun-centered model of the solar system.
Galileo Galilei
Improved the telescope and used it to confirm the heliocentric model.
Sir Isaac Newton
Developed the Laws of Gravity and Motion after observing an apple falling from a tree.
Newton's First Law of Motion
