the patriarch of Jerusalem, Diabert of Pisa, had tried to prevent Baldwin from becoming king as he preferred the candidacy of Bohemond I of Antioch. Baldwin got Diabert deposed in 1102 and eventually in 1112 got his own candidate in place, Arnulf of Chocques
