• each bump on the tongue there are around 200 taste bud, that contains a pore that catches food chemicals.

• Taste receptor cells project antenna-like hairs into the pore. 

• The receptor cells also respond to different stimuli

Taste aging

Taste receptor cells reproduce themselves around every week. As you age the number of the taste buds decreases aswell as your taste sensitivity

• Depressants like alcohol can speeds up this loss
