Bandwidth
The maximum amount of data that's transferred across a network, and the speed at which something loads.
Buffering
The delay that's occurring when data is arriving at a slower rate than its being processed.
World Wide Web
A software system designed to enable access to websites over the internet.
Web Browser
Software used to view webpages such as Chrome or Safari.
Search Engine
A collection of online webpages like Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Domain Name System (DNS)
Translates web addresses to IP Addresses.
Ethernet Cable
Allows data to travel to the switch.
Switch
Connects computers in a LAN (Local Area Network).
Server
A powerful computer to store files.
Router
Connects one network to another.
ISP (Internet Service Provider)
A company that provides internet access.
Network
Two or more computers connected together.
Protocol
A set of rules that a network has to follow.
