History midterm open Response

Muckraker - 

journalist that uncovers abuse and corruption in society / large business corporations. A lot of time they proused articles with progress ideas and got the name for Theodore Roosevelt.

Suffrage -

The right to vote (women) . Protesting and fighting for the 15 19th (1920) amendment to pass to give women. Some very prominent member fighting for the right to vote was (Lucretia Mott , Alice Paul ( NAWSA.) and many more.

Convoy -

A group of ships that were merchants and troops transported that traveled in a group.  proposed by Admiral William S. Sims and as a result the amount of shipping losses decreased a lot.

Deficit spending -

in 1934 Roosevelt started to  deficit spending and saving a balanced budget and borrowing money to pay for all his programs and his  programs help find jobs , find healing living and get America get back  on their feet.

Munich Conference -

Took place in September 29m 1938 and the goal was appeasement (march 1939) and brought Hitler  czechoslovakia under german control so they could prevent another world war from breaking out by appeasing. But it was very controversial because WW11 broke out a couple years later so did appeasement really work.
