Scrotum

A pouch of skin that holds and protects the testes.

Testicles/Testes

the pair of glands that produce sperm. "Male sex organs" which produce sperm, as well as, testosterone. Common site of cancer in young men.

Prostate Gland

The gland secretes fluid that nourishes and protects sperm. Common site of cancer in older men.

Urethra

The tube which both urine and semen are released out of the body through the penis.

Penis

The organ by which urine and semen are excreted from the body.

Semen

A mixture of sperm and fluids that protect sperm and carry them through the tubes of the male reproductive system.

Ejaculation

The release of semen from the penis.

Erection

The penis becomes engorged with blood and hard.

Testosterone

The hormone that causes the changes to occur during puberty.

Foreskin

Covers the "glans" or tip of the penis.

Circumcision

When a doctor cuts away the foreskin after birth.

Nocturnal Emission

When a male ejaculates while he is sleeping. Common during puberty.
