India is a land of many diversities. We speak different languages, have different types of food, celebrate different festivals and practice different religions.

Different kinds of food are dependent on the land and is impacted by climate. The state of Kerala in India grows many spices because of its climate but this differs greatly from the climate of Jammu and Kashmir, creating different food options.

Ladakh is a desert in the mountains. Very little agriculture is possible here since this region does not receive much rain and is covered in snow for a large part of the year. Therefore, people here keep sheep and the goats that produce pashmina wool.
