HRW provided details of alleged torture of Saudi women in prisons in 2021. Prison guards sent anonymous messages revealing high profile women’s rights activists are being subjected to electric shocks, whipping, and sexual assault during their 2018 detention

Conducted investigations into reported abuses of Chinese government against Uyghur people from 2019-2021.Report influenced, in part, the decision of the UN to send investigators to the region, culminating in the release of the OHCHR report in 2022.

HRW CHINA

Like Amnesty, HRW also conducted investigations into allegations of human rights violations against the Uyghur people. Accused the Chinese government of crimes against humanity, but noted that the ICC is unable to do anything as China has not signed the Rome Statute and therefore the court does not have jurisdiction
