What are landforms
They are the natural features that
make up Earth’s surface.

They are areas of very old rock that make up the continents.
They were formed from ancient mountain regions that have
been worn down over millions of years.

It is an area of low land between areas of higher land.
Valleys often have a river or stream flowing through them toward the slope. They can be created by ice that moves over
the land carrying away the land material, or land falls away
when there is a rift in the layers of the Earth.

low elevations. Some were formed at the bottom of what were
once seas. They are well suited for agriculture or farming.

They are large areas of mainly flat land found at high
elevations. They are formed in mountain ranges. Plateaus were
created by movements under the Earth’s surface that lift the
land.
