A country allowing flow of trade between itself and other nations

Using the threat of military power to influence the behavior of other nations.

This practice describes nations staying out of foreign policy, keeping to iself.
What is Isolationism?
This practice describes a nation being engaged in world affairs, cooperating in the community of nations
What is Liberal Internationalism?
Describing how the U.S is distancing themselves from the UN and other IR organizations, while engaging in the world economy
What is Neo-Isolationism?
The U.S aggressively promoting its values globally.
What is Neoconservatism?
This a National military organization to maintain stability in Europe
What is NATO?
This is once country that prohibits another from selling goods within its borders. Ex: tariffs
What is protectionism?
Retaining military presence and remaining engaged across the world
What is selective engagement?
These are nonmilitary tools to influence other nations Ex: Sanctions
What is Soft Power?
This is agreement, not a treaty negoitated and approved by ONLY the president.

This requires presidental negotiations with other leaders, 2/3 Senate approval, and a final ratification from the President.

This article declares that the President is more successful within foreign policies than domestic ones
