I have been a member of the 108th for 20yrs. out those 20 yrs I worked 9 under army command supporting law enforcement agencies such as FBI, DEA, SECRET SERVICES, CUSTOMS, IMMIGRATION, LOCAL PD'S thru out NJ.

I have to two kids, ages 6 n 12.

Currently I am a Federal Officer, I worked for Homeland security.

I have a BA in Criminal Justice, presently working towards an MBA in General management

I am the vice president of the moral club with FSS, I used be part of the Junior NCO club.

I love to workout, do yoga, hiking, bike, and sightseeing. I love to travel around the world.

The 5 elements of this standard are neatness, cleanliness, safety, uniformity and military image. The first 4 are absolute, objective criteria needed for the efficiency and well-being of the Air FOrce. the fifth, military image is subjective but necessary.

Why is appearance an important part of military image

People draw conclusions on military effectiveness based on the image Airmen present. The image must instill public confidence and leave no doubt that Airmen live by a common standard and respond to military order and discipline. The image of a disciplined and committed Airman is incompatible with the extreme, the unusual and Fads. Every Airman has a responsibility to maintain an acceptable military image. as well as the right with in limits, to express individuality through his or her appearance.

Be alert for signs. If severely depressed or suicidal, immediately seek assistance through the chain of command,chaplain, or other appropriate referral agency. Remain with a potentially suicidal person until relieved by the proper authority. Follow-up and monitor the situation to ensure the issue is properly addressed and resolved.
