What’s in the Microsystem?
Places: homes, religious spaces, neighborhoods and schools. These involve the interactions between the child and the people at each physical space. (i.e. teachers, siblings, parents, etc.)
What’s in the Mesosystem?
The connections between the environments in the microsystem.
What’s in the Exosystem?
Indirect environments: School boards, local industries, parents’ workplaces, local government, etc.
What’s in the Macrosystem?
Social and Cultural values: Dominant beliefs and ideologies.
Chronosystem
The set of environmental contexts around the child is not constant but changes over historical time and at all levels.
