What are the 6 section headers when it comes to reporting the investigation?
Procedure, findings, discussion, abstract, references ,and introduction
List each of the section headers in the correct order along with what they are.
abstract - summary of report, about 150 words, which includes the aims, hypothesis and procedure
introduction - several studies in a related area are summarised, starts broadly and narrows down to aims and hypothesis
procedure - this should provide enough detail for study to be replicated and includes subsections like design, sample, materials, procedure and ethics
findings - descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, a statement about whether the hypothesis is accepted
discussion - results verbally explained and evaluation of study, acknowledgement of limitations, wider implications
references - full details of any sources e.g journal articles, books and websites
