Endocrine
A major communication system coordinating the regulation and intergration of body responses.
Exocrine
Release contents through duct system that leads to the external environment. Unicellular exocrine are glands cells that individually spread throughout the body. Multicellular exocrine glands are exposed of more than 1 cell which release their contents into body cavities and in ducts.
Tubularglands
Elongated secretory regions.

Merocine Secretion
Enclosed vesciles that are migrated to the apical surfaces where contents are released by exocytosis. Found in saliva
Apocrine Secretion
When secretions gather at the apical surface and pinches off to be released. Found in the armpit sweat glands.
Holocrine secretion
The destruction of the cell gland and aftermath of secretory products releasing. Found in the sebaceous gland that produce oil on skin and hair.
Serous gland
Produces watery blood-plasma-like secretion rich in enzymes. Found in the salivary glands of the digestive system.
Mucous gland
Release a more viscous product rich in the glycoprotein mucin.
