what were the chalgans

They were highly placed and powerful officers who were organized by Iltutmish as his personal supporters. They advised the Sultan on administration.during the days of civil war between the successors of iltumish , the chalgans started giving advises based on their own needs so when balban was crowned as the king, he crushed this system.

who is razia and what happened to her

Razia Sultan,was the daughter of iltumish and she became the sultan of the delhi sultanate in 1236. as the nobles in the court couldn’t accept a lady ruler, she was removed from the throne in 1240 CE.( minhaj-us-sirat wrote about Razia sultana)
